That is one beautiful thing, but there are a few problems with the story. One, there is no sign whatsoever that there was ever any weatherstrip mounted on that frame. No marks, no holes for mounting screws, nothing. Two, there are no marks where the hardware should have been mounted. And, third the date is 1968. It appears that the top was bought over the counter, and never installed. Its a beautiful thing, but is not exactly correct from a date standpoint. It is much better than a reproduction, but is likely rather rotten from age. You could put it on for show, but I wouldn't want to put it up and down much.
