1966 holly carb set up
I just got my original carb rebuilt (from a company that tests it out before returning). I need to know how to connect the air hoses for choke, etc.
I had a replacement carb with electric choke for many years and have to redo the connections.
The fuel lines are Ok.
I also needed to replace lever for the choke and not sure it is inserted in the housing correctly.
It is a Holly for 327/350 original.
The car starts fine but after warming up, there is a constant up and down RPM fluctuation that approaches stall even when adjusting idle screw.
I need to know which holes to block, etc. and how to adjust rod on the choke.
Thanks

What's the LIST number and part number stamped on the forward wall of the choke tower?

It's a Holly 4160 list 3605
The original for that VIN in california
just started again - choke works fine - butterfly goes to open when warm
idles great until I use accelerator - then RPM goes up and down continuously - wondering now if it is a timing issue

Update
Talked to the Holly tech line, and they said it is prob a vacuum leak or idle mixture problem
will check the manifold gasket for vacuum leak first before messing with idle mixture.
Still not sure of the vacuum hose set up, and would like some reference to that if some one has it.
Thanks

great - that is the way I set it up.
The manifold gasket was split - so I replaced and it stopped the vacuum leak, and now runs smoothly.
Thanks
Steve
