Default Cluster wiring...Again i posted a pic of my problem

Can Someone help identify and what location they go in the cluster

Does the "PINK" Wire go with the "Tan" wire with scotchlock how can i reattach it and where in the cluster?

I think the spade popped out of the "Temperature plug"?

Man, you just don't believe in giving much detail in your questions, do you? If you're working on a 65/66 the light green wired bulb goes to the high beam lamp, the light blue and gray/black wired bulb goes to the headlamp telltale lamp, the tan wired bulb goes to the brake warning switch and the capacitor mount attaches to the cluster ground (for radio static elimination). I can't help with the pink wires, but there is a pink wire that attaches to the temp gauge and another to the fuel gauge. Maybe someone can assist with those.

PS: If those two pink wires are the wires for the temp and fuel, it wouldn't matter if you switched them, they both connect to the pink wire coming from the fuse block to feed 12v to the two gauges.

Light Blue, Gray/Blue/Blk is Headlight On Warning Light

Light Green is High Beam Indicator

Tan, Pink is Park Brake Warning lamp, but the Pink is broken from the bulb socket. You'll need to fix that first. Solder back to the socket.

Are you saying the 'pink' goes in with the "tan' socket.....????

That could be, since there is also a pink wire coming to the socket beside the tan wire. It also comes from the fuse block and feeds 12v to the bulb and the tan wire grounds it to light the brake bulb when the parking brake is pulled on.

Not "with" the tan wire, but rather beside it. That socket should have a two wire slot in the bottom, one for tan the other for the pink. If they are connected together, you'll blow the fuse.

Thats what i meant....now you know why i hate electrical...i cannot give a good description of what i mean......

Yea i can see where it goes....it snapped or pulled out of the back end....

Is it a "bullet end" on the wire or is molded into the socket?

I figured having all of the links in one reply, even if some had appeared elsewhere, would make it a little easier for the future.

Contact forum member DZVette, he should be able to send you the originals. He sent them to me almost 7 years ago before they were posted on the web, and they were much clearer. Alternatively, if you click on each graphic above I think they will enlarge (they do on my browser).

Click on the tan bar above the picture to make it full size, then right click on the picture and pick "save picture as" and save it to someplace on your computer. Then you can zoom in as much as you need to, or print them.

The pink should go to the center contact in the socket. The contact & wire was probably crimped originally. Remove the bulb and try to push the contact disk out so you can solder it. (if you have the tools)

If it doesn't make sense try to get a few close ups of it all apart.
