The recent thread re: NCRS Shipping Reports reminded me of the the one I got a while back. My '63 SWC was delivered to Dexter Chevrolet, Detroit, MI January, '63. Any information or dealer memorabilia (matchbooks, license frames, etc.) would be appreciated. Google got me a picture from the 70's but not really sure that was the dealer.

Any help appreciated.

My '73 was bought from Dexter by my brother back in 1975.

Dexter Chevrolet Co was located on Dexter Road in the 1950s. The used car lot was located at Burlingame and Livernois during the 1950s. Dexter Chevrolet relocated to 20811 West Eight Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan during the 1960s. Dealer number 44-84. The location was taken over and renamed variously by Harrell Chevrolet which became Harrell Chevrolet Geo and finally West Side Chevrolet which closed in 1996.

Thanks for the info - would like to have something (keychain, license frame) from the dealer - while it was still named Dexter of course.

All I have left is a invoice for a pair of L-88`s {IT engines} from Dexter Chevy....the price was a little over 1200.00 for each one....2400.00 something.........But 'Werner Meyer' at Masterworks Corvette services and Repair in Madison Heights, Michigan 48071 or 'Shelby Jet' may have some memorabilia as I think Shelbys 62 was purchased from Dexter......

Try right clicking on the picture first. On of the choices should be "print picture"

Thanks, but when I do that, it wants to print the entire page (all the posts, borders, etc.)

Shelby doesn't have a computer.....doesn't believe in them.
