I just bought a Jambox and play tunes through Bluetooth/Iphone....I have two classics and decided not to spend 1k between the two. Just bring it with whatever car I am using. Besides, the dash speaker sounds terrible.

I got this thing on Amazon:

I just got it yesterday and have only taken the car out once but it sounded very good on the car's original (rebuilt) radio and speaker. However, you have to keep in mind that my ears are 66 years old and I'm driving a convertible with sidepipes so YMMV.
BTW, you don't have to tune it to 96.8. Just find any channel on your radio that's not broadcasting and set your radio and the device to that station.

Damn, you guys make it too easy. I have spent the last several weeks building kick panel enclosures for 5.25" components and a 10" sub box for behind the seats in order to play tunes from my I-Touch to hear Led Zepplin loud and clear over the side exhaust

Your tunes are going to sound great with that setup. Even with my Sound Fly using the car's antenna, radio, and single speaker I get pretty good sound and I can hear it over my side pipes. While I'd love to have your setup, I'm very happy with my "plug and play" tunes.

I guess not all devices that use FM are equal. I just sent back a Motorola bluetooth that would play my Pandora through the radio without a cord and the sound quality sucked. Tried nearly every unused frequency with lousy results.

Definitely a great cost effective alternative to getting the radio modified and upgrading the speaker if you primarily use your phone to store music or stream music from an app.

We already have a Jambox in the house, but I never thought about using it in the car. I just spent the last half hour sitting in the car listening to music and it sounds pretty damn good!

This is a great idea! I've heard these, they sound really good and they're wireless. Did you get the big or small one and where do you put it?
