1963 Split Window Fuelie
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and my reason for joining is my parents have just bought a 1963 Stingray Fuelie. We've never been that into Corvettes but we have always loved the Stingray body style and we got a deal on this one from one of my grandpa's best friends. It has been sitting in a shop for 30 years inside and heated so that has helped slow the aging process. The car also has knock off wheels. We are from ND and are having the president of the local Corvette club come out to take a look at it.

Welcome to the Forum. You are gonna LOVE your new Corvette.
Please don't TOUCH your fuel injection. There are several (Jerry Bramlett, Tom Parsons etc) Forum members here who are Rochester FI experts, and all are willing and able to help you with problems, BUT, most engine problems will turn out to be something else. I hope that restoration specialists will chime in here for cosmetic help issues. Enjoy

We are considering keeping it original. it has a few dings we may have buffed out but it shouldnt take too much work. My father has restored a 1951 Hudson Hornet convertible from the ground up so this shouldnt be a problem for him

That looks like a solid, complete, mostly original '63.
Go slow.
Learn everything you possibly can about the car and about '63 Vettes before you so much as pick up a paper towel to wipe off the windshield.
Ask lots of questions. The breadth and depth of knowledge on this forum is tremendous.
Congratulations on the acquisition.

Congratulations to your family on your new 63 fuellie As Jim Lockwood said, learn all you can about it before you change anything. A good buffing wouldn't hurt

Congratulations, and welcome to the CF! This forum has some very experienced and knowledgable Corvette veterans more than willing to share their wisdom and humor. You have entered into rare territority. From what little we know of the car, keep it "AS IS" assuming it's all original. If your car is Daytona Blue W/black interior, I had an exact car 10 yrs. ago.
