Just received my shipping Data
Well I thought my car was a Fl. car but I was totally wrong it was sent to Dan Perkins in Milford CT. Good news the dealership is still in business. I sent them a email asking if they could provide any data on my car hopefully the have some past history, however I'm not holding my breath. If anyone has any connections at Dan Perkins I would be willing to pay for the effort. Understand my efforts are to only collect the data for my grandson, someday the boy will be driving my car and I would like to leave him as much history as possible. Thanks

Good luck. I tried that with my car after I received the shipping data and the dealer never responded to my e-mail. Thought about calling them but I am sure their records don't go back that far.

Good Luck OOH YEAH. I have a friend who owns a car dealership and has for years and he said that they distroyed all there old paper files and history long ago and now that it is all computerized (sp) that they have it setup where after a car passes the warrenty on the car it delets itself automaticlly. Now that is not to say that all dealerships do it that way. Good luck in your quest to get your car history.

I also got the shipping data report on my car from NCRS. I had the original invoice so it was a confirmation for me. When writing to the dealership, I included a stamped self-addressed envelope. I directed the letter to the Service Manager since I was more interested in service records. The Service Manager did respond with a hand written note on my letter using the envelope provided. Unfortunately, like others have said, the dealership’s policy is to destroy records after seven years, so I got nothing but the response. Good luck!

Check DMV records, I live in NC and was able to get copies of the Certificate of Origin on both my 59 and 67 as well as copies of the titles of the previous 3 owners of my 59. Yhe 67, I bought from the orig. owner. You may or may not have any luck, but check it out anyway.
