I wrote a book on the build of my 1960 Corvette
It is 234 pages and several hundred of photos. Recently Blurb added the ability to have eBooks for free if you have an iPad
I set the book up such that it is free (I could have sold it for a nominal number, but thought better to share).
In order to get this on your iPad for those interested, you need to have the latest operating system, IOS6.
Make sure you say yes to downloading iBooks.
Once that is on your iPad, click on this link
http://store.blurb.com/ebooks/331964-red-hot
Click on add to cart, you will notice that is has no cost to it.
Keep clicking to checkout.
When the screen comes up to download direct to iPad, click on that (not the section that asks for an email address).
Takes a while to download since it is about 250MB, don't let the screen go to sleep, the download stops, so wiggle your finger on the screen while it downloads.
Next, screen comes up that says download to iBooks, click on that. On.y click once and give it time.
The iBooks should open and after a bit the book will show up on the bookcase. Then you can slide your finger across to turn pages, or expand two fingers to zoom in or pinch two fingers to contract.
If I need to do a bunch of screen prints to explain better, let me know....
Regards, Herb

Too bad - I jailbroke my wireless only ipad at IOS 5.1 to give it 3G capabilities (actually 4G through my Android phone) so guess I'm left out in the cold. Any OS upgrades will 'unbreak' it (or worse!).
If I wrote on book on the restoration of my '61 there would be so many expletives that it would be banned...

Wow - this thread went sideways real fast.
Herb - congrats on the book and, as you already know, you have a beautiful C1.

I apologize for the" I love myself sections", please ignore those, the build of the car and the info on the hardtop are really the better things to look at.....

Ok... for those of us without the iPad or similar AND are using Firefox
Go to Tools > Ad Ons
In the search window type EPUBReader and download it... then install at the prompt.
THEN follow the link to the book... check out etc. etc. and download the book
When its finished downloading, you can click on it
At that point, my computer freaked a bit and said it didn't know how to open the file, but I choose to select the application to open it
Browse to your Mozilla Firefox folder and click the Firefox.exe

Awesome read, Herb. Thanks for your hard work on this.
I used Sumatra PDF reader to view it on Windows on my desktop computer. First, I downloaded the book and saved it in my documents. Then I downloaded this free epub software, using this link:
http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/...df-reader.html
Then launch the program, and open the document you saved with Sumatra.
