Default Thinking of going back to 66 big block hood

Well as the title says I'm thinking of going back to a 66 big block hood on the 66. I have the stinger hood on it now. Marina blue black stripe after market hood. I was wondering what a fair price would be for it or if someone here would be interested in a trade for a 66 big block hood for the stinger hood?

Glad you are making this decision!

Personally, I like the 65/66 BB Hood better than the 67 (blasphemy I am sure), but there seem to be a whole lot more of 67 hoods out there than anything else.

Good luck with your search... there is bound to be somebody willing to swap.

Good move I too prefer the 65/66 BB hood, especially on a 66

Ditto - can't help on the price but selling the 67 hood should not be too hard to do.

Good idea. The '65-'66 BB hood belongs on these two years and looks the best.

if your 67 BB hood is a original GM hood it is worth quite a lot. if its a after market or latter GM hood then not so much

Yes my 67 hood is an aftermarket one. I would like to have an original 66 hood if the price is right. I know they arent cheap. As of right now I'm thinking of an aftermarket hood but if I go aftermarket I would have to drill the holes for the 66 emblem correct? I wouldnt know where to mark the holes. Anyway I liked the 67 hood but here lately I feel that the 66 hood belongs on the car and it actually does look better. Plus a couple of guys here in town have the same year car and color and with the stinger hoods but are small block players.

On a 65/66 I like the 65/66 BB hood but I do like the overall look of a '67 a little better. Nothing against any year but I'm partial to '67s with stinger hoods thanks to my father owning one.

For some reason seeing the '67 stinger hood with 65/66 louvers just looks off to me, and I'm no purist... However, on a 63/64 restomod I generally like the Stinger hood. I know.
