I only have the ’67 Chevrolet Corvette Specification book, but a ’63 would have to be close. The ’67 curb weight for a coupe was 1555 front and 1600 rear (3155 total). There were adds for various options, like +93 for AC, +12 for PB, +21 for PS and the one that surprised me +21 for AM-FM radio. So, that’s roughly 49/51 without options.

Thank you Mike I'm back now from ,,basement diving'',
found my old DELCO Radio with Hardware and speaker, put it on wifes balance ,shows 4.50 kg. Could be that 21 is a misprint and 12
would be right.

If you think about it, +21 is probably right. Remember, it included all the ignition shielding, capacitors, ground straps, antenna and cable.

Hello Hotchrome hope all is well......

Hmmm, 4.5kg = apx 10 lbs.

The Radio option included many things besides the radio and speaker. It also included ignition shields(6 pcs), associated brackets, wing nuts, etc. Also there are several radio suppression capacitors, and many ground straps. Also the antenna, antenna cable and ground plate. All this extra stuff may add up to about 11 lbs.

So the option total weight may actually be 21 lbs. ???

Rich

edit- ooops I was too slow in the composition. Mike & I were thinking alike.
