1960 2x4 Fuel Line Size Question
I picked up a set of 2x4's to put on my new 350 in my 60 Corvette and I am not sure what year they are from. Now that I am starting to put the car back together I noticed the 2x4's look like they have 5/16 lines but the new line coming from my tank came in as a 3/8 (5/16 is what I think I tool off from the tank when I took it apart but there was a 3/8 to 5/16 adapter on the sender)
My question is on a 1960 I assume the 3/8 line from the tank to the pump is correct. Now from the pump to the glass fuel filter, is that 3/8 or 5/16 and what is normally the size from the filter bowl to the carbs?
Pictures would be helpful if you have any getting from the pump to the carbs.
I may have an older set of carbs using the 5/16. If that is the case I assume I just need to put in an adapter before the fuel pump and use a 5/16 fuel pump or use a 3/8 and adapt after the fuel pump.
This is a picture of what I have:
Thanks,

the lines from the pump to the tee and then to both carbs are 5/16. you can buy the whole setup from the repop suppliers.
those are cloned carbs you have there in case you didn't know.

Also is the normal 60 fuel pump inlets 3/8 or 5/16? I did order the top lines from CC.

If you get the numbers off the air horn and body for both carbs we can find out what they are off of. The quickest give away on the clones is their spacing...real deal 2X4s have more clearance between them (see picture of real 1956 dual quads).
Your clones are almost touching which probably means one or both of them are off a 1X4 car...
The rebuild kits should not be much different but if you get the numbers you can be sure of it.
Daytona Parts (google them) here in Florida make excellent kits with custom needle valves of their own
design and soft parts made for modern gasoline.

Does that mean I will have an issue with the repro single air cleaner from CC or should the horns be in the correct location and it is just a body difference?

The repro air cleaner should fit just fine....I have 'real deal' 270HP Corvette carbs in storage but run clones myself on my '61. My rear carb is off a Chrysler 2x4 setup and the front carb was formerly off of a 1x4 setup (see picture)...everything fits. You can tell the front carb is cloned by evidence of plugged holes where a choke used to be mounted (see arrows). My repro air cleaner fits just fine.
BTW - this picture shows the correct mounting of the fuel lines and filter -- you have a non standard setup in your picture.

At the elbow at your bowl down to the pump does it go from 5/16 to 3/8 at the bowl to the pump? I am trying to see where the 5/16 to 3/8 conversion happens.
I got an after market 5/16 pump and I am trying to figure out if I need swap it out for a 3/8 or if I should just do adapters.

All three pieces on the carb side of the fuel line are the same size.
The conversion is in the front to rear lines between pump and tank.
See Zip Corvette's part number Z-215.
I have never touched the intake with other than Simple Green mild cleaner and water.
On RARE occasions if I get a fuel stain on the intake I rub it with a towel soaked in a little brake cleaner.

I'm heading out of town for a 2 week trip so pics are out but, even better, here is what the AIM shows for the fuel line feeds from the pump forward. This is actually clearer than a photo as its in a hard to reach location to capture it all. You want to make sure the down line to the pump does NOT touch any part of the engine or heads or you'll overheat the gas and promote vapor lock or percolation. It's a REAL close fit down there.
