Looking great. Can't wait to see the cluster with the Autometer gauges fully installed.

Thanks,
RK

Nice - are these custom or available commercially?

They are commercial. I found the link for them on Dan's site (vetterodder.com).

http://www.vetterodder.com/Instruments.html look for the link to hotrod dynamics.

I used dupli-color self etching primer on the gauge cluster.

after it dried for a few hours I used a razor blade to remove the paint from the trim and then sprayed euro trim black on top of the primer. In this photo, the black had just been sprayed. When it dries it will be uniform in appearance and the same color as the glove box.

After the paint is dry then scrape the bezels with a razor blade to remove the paint from the polished parts. Picture of cluster in progress.

Using a razor blade is very labor intensive. You can get the same result using a T-shirt tightly wrapped around your finger, dipped in lacquer thinner, and wiping the chrome edge and lettering.

Love the black gauges..... everybody seems to do silver, carbon fiber look, or custom colors.. but this seems to keep more of the old classic car feel.... Love it.

I see you've got the green covers on the bulbs...are they staying? hows that look?? I did red covers on my boat (they don't kill your night vision, since boats don't have the luxury of headlights).

Default Clock is in.....

Guys,

I said I would post a pic of my clock when it came in and I forgot.... but here it is installed. I was very happy with the match to my Auto-Meter pro comp gauges! I'll try to take a better pic. Cost was right at $300 to install quartz movement and reface to match...
