Default Will it fit ?

A friend of mine has a very unoriginal '59 that hasn't been used in a number of years. He had a brainstorm today about converting it to automatic so his wife can drive it. The questions is: will a Turbo 350 fit in a '59? How much cutting and pasteing would be necessary? Tranny mount, Yoke etc. Or is it just too large. (He already has a turbo 350 out of an old Nova) Thanks, Bob

Jim, what's the point ? She has her own '96 Special Edition, (12K on the odometer) the '59 would be a once every couple weeks drive. Bob

WHAT, take a manual out to be replaced with an automatic. That`s surely against the law.

You could probably trade it even for a nicer original powerglide car. Less work! Your four speed car is worth more than an automatic car in the market.
