Here we go again!!!
Delivered yesterday. Not my car. I'm doing it for a guy in MO. The car came from TN, and is VERY rusty. Notice the angle of the nose in the first picture. It's actually about 4" to the right as measured at the headlight (which is glued in btw). This will be a restomod, LS3, Dawson chassis, 6 speed magnum, and 10" wheels on the back. It's going to be BLACK (I never get to do the white cars ) I ripped off the nose yesterday, and found some pretty interesting work I have NO parts. Ordered fiberglass from Ecklers yesterday. I'm going to use a hand laid nose, and I hate it........Scheduled completion is mid July. Better get to work.

I'm gonna have to get by and see that Mike. I love looking at these tragedies and seeing them reborn as slick restomods that anybody would be proud to own and drive and in only a few months.
I'm always amazed..

Mike, with your 20 hour work day you should be able to knock that out in 2-3 months max. When you need a diversion I know someone who needs a hardtop painted ermine white....

I know it'll be great when your finished with it.
I might even get to see the car in person.
Does the owner live in or around the St Louis,Mo. area?

Mike,
Now having seen your work in person, and knowing that your day begins at 4:30 am, there's no doubt that this will be another great car and done in record time.
Best of luck with the project.

Looks like you have your work cut out for you. I'm looking forward to any progress photos that you post.
Since I see no triangular brace assemblies in front of the doors I'm assuming that it is a 56 or early 57.
Thanks, Doug

The owner is in Springfield. He owns a bunch of Waffle House resturants....maybe I'll get free waffles

Good to know that I probably won't have to compete against that car at local car shows when it's finished.
Although I hope that he might take it to Corvette Funfest and Mike Terry his Corvette Corvair.
It would be well worth the drive there.

I would love to just watch/document a resto like this. And of course help as needed. It's amazing to compare before to after, I think "during" would be fascinating.
