another numbers question
I have a spare short block that I just pulled out of a 66 vette. I know it is not the original engine. I have the casting number and the number that is stamped on the vin pad, Oddly enough there is no vin number on the vin stamp pad.
Casting number is 3896944
Here is the number on the stamp pad, VO426WA (but again no vin)
I think it is a 327 block.
Can someone identify this engine?
What would the numbers (last 2 letters) on the block stamp pad be for a 327/350hp 4spd with power steering, no a/c
Are vin numbers also stamped on heads?
