Takes all the mystery out of what looks like a nightmare poised to happen in the service manual. Just like thread that showed how to rebuild the motors. One of the most satisfying jobs I've done on my 63. Thank you sir.

I second this totally. Thank you for sharing your experience. I had to fiddle my way through this when restoring the headlites. Would have been much easier with your video.

Very much appreciated. Mine were installed in the car all wrong when I purchased it. Everything is loose and all wiring and switches need to be replaced. I look forward to part 2.

Any dumbell can do that. The trick is getting the pivot ***** lined up and the stops and motors lined up. Just getting your hands in there is a real ****** ******. I did it. I know.

The build is being featured in Auto Enthusiast magazine and RedDirtRodz.com. The Corvette has already been in Corvette Enthusiast and Corvette fever a couple of years ago. This is part 1 of the headlights project, showing the basic assembly.

Part II, which is coming soon, will show the installation process and have a cool trick feature, showing how to wire the headlights to automatically open and close with main headlight switch, no more pushing the button to the open and close, it will operate with just the headlight switch itself.

What do you guys think? Let me know.

Sorry it has taken s long guys, I have been slammed trying to finish this car. The wad lights are finished, but I need to get the final shot, which is a week away. My website is down for maintanence, my old server host got hacked and I ha to change providers, but then something got messed up in the transfer and we have not been able to get it fixed yet. You can find all the videos on YouTube though. I hope to have part 2 up really soon

OK, here are some links

This is my Youtube channel-
http://www.youtube.com/user/Reddirtrodz

You can find all my videos there. Most are not Corvette related, but I have some good comedy bits like this one recently used by Gojo in their national sales meeting 2 weeks ago:

Here is the first part of the headlight video:
