I lowerd the center bow about 1-1/2" and leaned the rear bow forward about an inch. I decided that I would make my own side windows so I reshaped the opening to my liking.

This car just pops!Complete simplicity at every angle,no flashy crap anywhere.The way I see this car you could have built a car that looks like 99% of the 54s out there or you could have built the one that gets noticed.That 1% is the one Id be looking at.If you were any closer Id love to see the car.Any chance you will be at one of the Good Guys shows in Pleasanton this summer?

I just went on the NCRS site and it states for the Sportsman award;
b.Member must own and drive a 1953 through current production Corvette and park in the designated ”Sportsman“ parking area...or... Member must own and drive a ”Stock appearing“ 1953-1982 Corvette and be willing to leave their car on the judging field with the judged cars during the event as space permits. ”Stock appearing“ is defined as no body, bumper or driving light modifications.
No modifications, so I'm SOL

Karpo,
I'm driving the 56 to the SACC Natls in Phoenix (Fountain Hills) in Jan.
Is there ANY tiny possibility that you will be going?
If not, I think you should join SACC. SACC is strictly for the 53-62 cars------------------in ANY configuration!
DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that dash!

Last, this is the kind of cars/owners that NCRS has run off in the past. I used to bitch about this a lot in past years, but I've about given up on them now. I feel that they sure missed the boat by shunning, rather than providing a class for "personalized" cars. Oh well----------------------------------------------------
