Chevron Delo Oil
Don't want to start another long oil thread, but went to Wal-Mart looking for Chevron Delo 400 oil 15w40. Noticed that it boasted CJ-6 on the container. Wondering if it has same specs as the CI-4? Could not find my answer from the small print on the back of the container.

The API CI-4 rating is obsolete - it was replaced by CJ-4 several years ago. The brand (Shell Rotella, Mobil Delvac, Chevron Delo, etc.) doesn't matter - if the first-listed rating at the top of the API "donut" symbol is CJ-4, that's all that matters; Wal-Mart also has a CJ-4-rated 15W40 house brand that meets the same specs.
