1x4 or 2x4 WCFB power vs fuel consumption questions

You need a spacer (which are available) or the riser valve...one or the other but you have to have something in that 'gap' in the system. But I just took some stainless steel aircraft safety wire and wired my exhaust riser open...

Thanks Frank, I have SS aircraft lockwire at home. I'll get the FI intake manifold gaskets and the phenolic blocks. There is a correct manifold on ebay now, I'll see how I go with it. I figure around the $200 mark is okay.
All, thanks for help and advise

Nocticeably more power with 2x4's. You can easily test for yourself by disconnecting the front carb and run on the rear only, then retest with both. ----------------------Fuel distribution problems are non-existant in a well sorted out 2x4 system. The rear carb's front 2 butteflies are near, but rearward of the center of the manifold. Just like a 1x4's front 2 butterflies are near, but forward of the center. ----------------If you doubt this, consider a Chevy stovebolt 6 cyl. engine. Look at the intake manifold. Hugely unequal lengths and still works great.
