Anyone just love their carb guy??
Recently I posted a question if anyone would recommend a carb guy they liked a lot that I could coordinate with a trip to Carlisle. Seeeing how I had no responses, my next question is-
Anyone absolutely thrilled with a carb guy that they would recommend? Anywhere? (I heard the Lars suggestions) I have a correct #'ed QJ for my '69 thats a bit crusty that Id like to be dependable for driving. Suggestions?

Eric Jackson from Vintage Musclecar Parts. He is a true professional and his final product is fantastic. He just did two sets of 3x2's for me and now has my original 69 Z28 carb.

All American Carburetor out of Orange Park, FL. 904-215-6790
I doubt they'll be at Carlisle but they do make the Winter Regionals in Kissimmee. They have done five for us in the past three years and do an excellent job at a reasonable price.

I used Daytona Parts Company in Florida to rebuild and restore the Stromberg and Carter on my Buick Special Sport Coupe (the back Stromberg was swapped for a Carter somewhere over the 70 year life of the car). My local mechanic tried to rebuild them and just messed them up. I sent them to Daytona Parts and they came back restored like a work of art.......tremendous. We bolted them on and the Buick ran fine...just required a slight adjustment. They are not cheap (the job on these carbs cost me $600 with all the shipping included. But, given the quality of their work and service, I would use them again rather than waste time and money on someone else.....very high recommendation. Google Daytona Parts Company and you'll get their website for more info.

Absolutely "Custom Rebuilt Carbs" in Middlesex, NJ. He has rebuilt 2 carbs for me and they were perfect. A friend who owns a 67 also purchased a correct carb from him for his L-79. He is usually at Carlisle. Check out their website.

I can't believe Bob Kunz out of Kansas City has not been mentioned; when it comes to the old Carter carbs there simply isn't anyone better..... Bob has brought his son into the business to do rebuilds/restorations and so potential customers should take that into consideration -- Bob doesn't do everything himself anymore.
I am familiar with Daytona Parts (mentioned earlier) out of New Smyrna Beach, FL and have visited their facility and talked to Ron (the owner) at length....they also run an impressive operation on any old carb you can think of.
They have the old microfiche (for those that remember that!) engineering drawings for every model of the old WCFBs on file (I've personally seen it).
