JerryCVA-61 received my patch this day......much appreciated and greatful. As you well know, we Viet vets didn't receive the welcome home in those days that the great men and women of of armed services deserve and earn today. The idea of this patch honors the vets of that campaign in a way we are MOST greatful and humbled.....thanks for your efforts and work, I salute you!!

Charles,
Would it be possible or worth while to maybe have some patches that are for us Vietnam ERA Vets with Corvettes.
I would imagine there are probably many others with the same situation and would be proud to display our service to country as well as Corvettes.
Just a thought,
RK

The purpose of my patch was to give recognition to those veterans who actually served "in country". That is why the patch includes both the Vietnam Service ribbon and the Vietnam Campaign ribbon which was awarded to those who served 6 months in Vietnam, or those who provided direct support to Vietnam troops, or anyone wounded in action.

Because of forum rules prohibiting "sales advertising" by non supporting vendors (me), I could not advertise the patches for sale on the forum, so I offered them for free. I was fortunate in that two forum members generously offered to pay for the patches, so all I had to do was collect the names and addresses and mail the patches. Without the generosity of these two forum members I would not have been able to offer the patches for free.

To answer your question: "Would it be possible or worth while to maybe have some patches that are for us Vietnam ERA Vets with Corvettes?". Yes, I agree that it would be possible and worth while, but I have mailed out almost 400 patches so far, and it has taken up a lot of my time, a lot more than I anticipated. So, if you or someone else wants to do it, by all means go for it.

Charles,
Thank you so much for doing this. My patch was waiting for me when I returned from a month long motorcycle ride.

Charles: Received my patches upon returning from a business trip. Instantly transported me back to the Central Highlands and my Red Warrior comrades. This is a great initiative.

Regards,

Charles,

I also just returned home from a month long trip to find my patch waiting for me. It looks great and will be the ONLY patch on my jacket.
