Default Sometimes a black cloud has a silver lining

Spent all last winter converting a 72 manual convertible with a bad motor to an automatic turbo 400 with a nice running 72 vette motor. I converted the 72 so the members in my household that want to drive the vettes but didn't want to drive a stick could participate in my addiction. 4 weeks ago my we went to take off for a car show, my son in the 72 and I in the 66. I made it about 2 blocks before the front wheels decided to go in different directions almost causing my demise. I limped the car back home put it on the lift and found ( as most of you are suspecting) a very loose lower ball joint. We took the 72 to the show and had a great time. I picked up ball joints the next day and tore into the bad side, replacing both upper and lower. We got busy at the restaurant the next couple of weeks so I didn't have a chance to get the other ones done till last Monday. The front end was so badly adjusted on the test drive after the ball joint replacements I thought I was driving in a squeak-mobile. I told myself that if it stopped raining I'd take it in for an alignment.

The silver lining......

I went to alot of posts from you guys about tire sizes and types. I had mismatched tires on the wheels and decided to get a new matched set with the alignment.
After seeing whitewalls on the nasssau blue cars I decided to go for it.
215/70r15s with 3/4 inch whitewalls. I really like the look.

Whata u guys think?
