Default Abandoned 63 coupe

A friend of mine told me about this 63 in the back yard of his neighbors house. The owner doesnt live at the house. My friend said its been there for at least ten years. I am trying to get a hold of the owner to see if he needs it hauled away. :-) Mark

Too bad the roof doesn't go just a little further over...that interior has got to be a mess.

I agree with Groovy, that second photo is just a fantastic shot.

There may not be too much remaining to steal but I'm surprised that a car like this in full street view hasn't had the fence broken into and the car hacked for fun by some juvenille delinquents.

My friend said it was covered up until recently, he didnt even know it was a corvette. its in a back alley and only neighbors can see it.

Or some kind of Nostolgic Drag Car. Already has the straight front axle. Maybe it has some racing history already.

Yeah, sounds like it's a gasser, or was one at some point. Keep us posted how it turns out...

Raybe baybe, who do you think is responsible for installing those fender flairs? I suspect delinquents.

Why do I feel a scammer... Two threads.. two Screen names...

Just saying... Either way it's a basket case with no glass or trim, 67 front end, 63 coupe rear... No idea what really is there.. I once again say...

SCAMMER...

Default Update on frankenvette

UPDATE: Turns out it's a Frankenvette. I finally met the owner of this car. It's a empty shell with a 68 front clip, straight axle front end. He said the frame is a c2 64 or 65, it has drum brakes on rear and looks to be c2 IRS. He thinks he has a title for the frame. No vin plate or trim tag. He has an extra set of coupe doors. Its been sitting under a metal roof and rusty water has been draining on it. Birdcage has surface rust and in some places it looks a little worse. The trim that goes around the back windows looks like it could be saved and cleaned with 000 brillo. He said he wants 2k or make offer, I think he will go a lot lower. I thought I would post this just in case a forum member could use something from this car. If anyone is interested send me a pm and I can get you in touch with the owner. The car is located in Washington DC. Its been sitting in the same spot for 20 years. Mark
