Default Auto trans vs. 44 spd.

Approximately how much does an auto trans reduce the value of a 66 A/C coupe?
It is Mossport green, 300HP, knock offs, undercar exhaust with green interior.

I'd ballpark it at around $10-$12K. Come on Tempus, everyone knows you have five C2 PG cars sitting in your garage.....not.

Depends on the buyer.

I would pay more for the auto than I would for a car with 44 gears.

Nah....it does a great job of evening out the power band.

I can't say on value but I am seeing more interest for the auto in recent years. It may at some point become more desirable as some of us age.

My left knee is so bad I can hardly handle a 4 speed. But a 44 speed? It hurts just thinking about it.

if you're gonna keep it and like an auto, go 4 it...if it's a 4speed just keep all the parts for resale then you have it covered! I think Dan is a little heavy with the $10 - $12K though, but then i'm a little bias toward the autobox.
