Default 65-67 value question

i've sold my 62 vert and have been looking at roadsters, primarily 327/350 4 speed cars from 65 to 67. what value and/or discount would you put on nice driver level cars which have nice paint and mechanics in good order in today's market? i'm trying to figure the price "bump" for a car with solid matching numbers block versus incorrect blocks or decked blocks in particular. any input appreciated. thanks in advance.

Ron, I have a 67 with 327/350 4 sp. I would call it a very, very nice driver. Maybe it's a low end trailer queen
Might sell for 85 if the day's right. Bill

If you're smart, you would.

Welcome Don!

Can you help clarify what it is you are asking? Are you asking how much of a price difference there is between a NOM and matching number 65-67 327/350 convertible?

Or are you asking for a good price range for decent driver-quality cars?

Many folks seem to give a price bump of 5K up to 10K for the "matching numbers". Matching numbers cars don't do anything a car without them does as far as driving and enjoying the car. If you are buying the car to drive and enjoy there are other things you can do with 5 to 10 thousand dollars.

Hi Don,
I am unsure of what exactly you are asking also. If you are asking "numbers matching" value vs NOM, there are many variables, but 10k is a safe ballpark figure.

i'm sorry for the confusion on my loosely worded question. it's basically a two parter. first, what price range is realistic currently for the 65-67 327/350 cars in nice driver condition, and secondly how much added value do you place in a correct, matching numbers setup vs. a non verifyable setup? ie the gentleman up above felt 5 to 10k. thx.
