Default Frame in Jig

Thought I would show you some photos of my 64 frame in a GlobalJig Jig, the frame was not close to the blueprint, the rear wheels had close to 1 inch difference, so one wheel was sitting 1 inch closer to the front of the the frame than the other, just wondering how straight/blueprintet they were from the factory?

Unless the car was whacked real bad it seems 1 inch is beyond any factory spec..Old addage...measure twice cut once...I would set the jig at measuring points listed on the fact specs, then measure the other mounting points.

When I did my frame (modded a 79 to fit a 66) I measured crosswise using as many landmarks as I could find from the specs. Think the biggest difference was 3/8 in front to back.

Biggest problem was making the body mounts correct height and fore and aft!!!!

Thought I would follow up with some picture of the finished frame, it has been powder-coated, I think it looks pretty nice:

Nice - looks great! Don't forget to add the missing hole for the bolt that attaches the rear of the left lower control arm shaft to the frame bracket.
