Default L88 draft tube, any vendor for such

Have not seen these in any vendor's inventory. I have a date coded factory 67 L88 that I am putting in my 67 vette. Just trying to get all the parts right.

FWIW-

I ran across a guy that had a complete L 88 chassis he was showing. He was going over the unique individual items and made it a point to tell me, he had the "correct" draft tube hanging off his left valve cover. I remember he told me the repops didn't have one of the bends made correctly and the difference was obvious.

Somewhere here, I have a picture of his draft tube and I'll send it to you if I can find it.

probably not a lot of call for them, I mean how many L88 clones can be passed off as originals? And if you aren't trying to pass it off as an original, just about any road draft tube that you can come up with that will work, will suffice.

Draft tubes are pretty useless with the better pcv system. Just want it to look original. Not into passing off cars for the real thing when they are not.

Wasn't accusing you of doing it, but it is a LOT easier to fake a 435/427 when some 4000 were made, and slip it into the pool, vs perhaps 20 L88's, thus no demand for parts to fake the L88 as they are too easily accounted for.

So then, is the part from LICS incorrect? For that price I would think it was made of gold and then refinished to look period correct. I'm guessing that it has to be wrong in some way for your engine as finding it was as quick as a google.

Yep. That's what I'd do. The material cost is negligable.

Check Ebay. I got a hold of a guy who was selling them there and I was able to get it fo less than half of what LIC is charging.

Yes 100 percent of the 67 L88 cars are accounted for. I have had my hands on every single one of them at one time or another.

Crossram—If you are still looking for a L88 draft tube, I have a real GM one for a reasonable price.
