Default Fuel Injection and cool weather

It was about 45-50 degrees here in NYC yesterday so I decided to take the 61 FI car out for maybe it's last ride of the year.
OMG!! What a difference cool weather makes. The car was awesome to drive. The response and acceleration was incredible.
I was rolling in first getting onto the highway and when I mashed the accelerator it broke the rear tires loose!
It actually surprised me.
I think I might move to Alaska.

Cold air definitely makes horsepower. Losing traction in colder air also has alot to do with the tires losing grip as well. Sure makes it seem alot faster when the tires are spinning on every shift

Those old FI's LOVE cold air.

They also love damp, humid, cold air.

Well.... It is 10 outside right now and it has been like this for two weeks .
I would not know anything about my fuelie running good in this weather since it is stuck inside my heated garage. It has not been used for two months because of bad weather, salt and dirt.
You will NOT move to a climat like this!

Wasn't TOO cold, Brother Rick. We dressed for it. Good game.

Luckily, there was no wind, otherwise it would have felt a lot colder. I've gotten used to the Florida sun. Maybe my blood has thinned out somewhat.

You coming to Kissimmee in January?

Chuck
