So far, it is worth $400 + an aluminum intake.

If his deal falls through, I'll go a Benjamin.

The repop consoles go for $425. I sold an NOS 65-67 automatic one 5 years ago for $625. If the 490 intake is in good shape, it's probably worth $350+. So your ending up with about the equivalent of $750, which is probably fair, though I think you could possibly get more.

There's one on e-bay right now with a buy-it-now of $1499.

May want to watch that listing and see if it actually sells for that. If it does, then just hope that wasn't the only person with that much coin for one.

Regarding the 4 speed shift indicator plate - completed listings show that 2 different NOS "4 speed" indicator plates sold for 43, and 59.95

Yet you can buy exact repo's for less than $10. It amazes me what people will pay for "NOS" parts. I've always found that NOS means - not good enough for a production car but okay as a replacement part. I've returned almost every NOS part I've bought from GM.

As for the console, there was an identical one for a PG at $499 that never got a single bid.Not surprising.

Oh. I had thought the shift indicators being reproduced were all using the incorrect font and scaling.

I bought one from Paragon or LICS that is exactly the same as my original (except without the scratches).

if it makes you feel good there has been a vendor that has been going to Corvettes at Carlisle for the last 15 or so years that has a console just like yours. A NOS in the box and has been bringing up there all those years
