Default 65 tires

What company makes the best radial tire with the correct white wall width and what would you guys recommend the correct size be.I know about Coker but just wanted to go to my nearest tire store and order 4 new ones.I have talked to different people and got a lot of different sizes. If you got pictures of your 65 or 66 with them that would be nice. Thanks Rob

Hi Rob,

Seems like you're asking 2 separate question . . . "who makes the best radial tire" . . .and who makes them with the "correct whitewall width". I put Michelin Symmetry's on my 66 2 years ago (I believe they're the best tires on the market) . . . and the 1/2 inch whitewall width is real close to what came on my car originally. Plus, you can't beat the price . . . check tirerack.com. You'll love the look, ride and performance - I highly recommend these tires.

Are you sure they're 215-75R-15's . . . . . . don't see that size available in that particular model

Mine are 215/70's . . . closest to original you'll find.

Those, and 205-75R-15's are the most commonly used sizes for original replacements, I believe . . . . I think the Michelin tires referenced are available in both sizes . . . . .
