It has been a bit tough waiting for car
They leave rubber in 5th gear at 150 miles an hour. I took a ride with a guy in a trans am with 1400 hp
He is going for a street legal car world record above 253 miles per hour.
I am still wiping my rear

Olso to Berlin
Hello America,
The car finally arrived and I was off to the parents home of ChevyUnger, a member of the forum. He mentioned that his parents had a place I could crash and that he would meet me there for the ride to his house in Berlin the next day.
Here are some pictures of the crash pad...Matthias, and his parents Heidi and Kurt. I was treated very well as you can see.

Some "crash pad" Jack!
These are the sort of pictures I was hoping to see. Euro palaces with our humble old cars not looking at all out of place.
You better tell us the car made the trip alright. No sea-sickness or cargo calamities, please!
Keep up with the reporting, Herr intrepid Vagabond!
(Thank you)

The Berlin Wall
I had the opportunity to visit an area in Berlin that has the last remains of the Berlin Wall. The pictures show the Memorial Sites that depict the events of that time 1961 to 1989. Many Germans lost their lives in the attempt to flee East Germany at that time.

Saturday Night Cruise Nuremberg Gemany
Catching up on posting pictures from Germany. The Germany TV station VOX 2 was there to interview me, as the guest of honor, about the trip from the USA and they spoke with others at the gathering. Many thanks to Thomas and Marcus , promoters of the Saturday Night Cruise , which attracted over 250 American cars including many Corvettes. Hope you like the show.

Yes! If there is any drive sexier and more opulent than along the Grandes Corniches, along the Cote D'Azur and Monaco, I haven't seen it. You are truly witness to the West's wealthiest of the wealthy around there. That shot of the mega-yachts in the Monaco harbour tells me it hasn't changed much since the 25 years I was last there, except there are more of them.
What I'm interested to know today, is how the European American-car enthusiast perceives American culture. Open roads, diners and so-forth. Is the passion the same, real or imagined?
So far it looks borrowed from the 50's era nostalgia and the era of big cars and big everything else.... but what's the view from the front lines, our intrepid vagabond reporter?
