i am still removing parts as the car bodywork is being done. today i removed the door strikes or keepers on the doors and jambs. the last person who painted the car did not remove these and painted the car color. i just got done removing the paint and wondered what color they should be painted. any of you painted these?

I believe the finish depends on the year, but I don't believe they were ever painted, zinc or cadmium plated.

The strikers were cad plated and were on the body before painting. They were taped, or a mask placed over them, so they got some over spray on the edges.
