Default Stopped looking for a 58!

Because I bought the one below!
I pick it up next week.
Here's what it is:
-58 Panama Yellow/White coves with new black convertable top. Seems to be all original drivetrain, dual 4bl/ 4sp
-New door panels, carpet, and seat covers
-Valve covers just bead blasted to get the original brushed steel look
-No rust frame (has one very well done repair)

-Still to be done:
-Trunk spears will be back this week from fresh chroming
-New digital radio will come this week (Old Wonderbar will be given to me)
-Seatbelts will be installed
-Electronic ignition to be installed (old parts will come with car)
-Steering box major rebuild with all gears will be done at a later date since parts on backorder
-Tire irons come with car

I'd say the paint is 6-7 meaning walking around the car you would not see problems (spidering) unless you look very closely. Chrome is nice.
Plus they will go over car one more time to check gauges work, cig lighter hot, lights signals ect.

https://mail.google.com/mail/?uip=1#...930f5c423b2465

I hope the car will be ready this coming week.
Finally, I'm a member and not a shopper!
I know some of you may have thought I wasn't serious but I had to wait for the one in decent condition that fit my budget that was prferably local. Not an easy task.

I'm considering getting a 15" replica sterring wheel.

So....... If you thought I asked alot of dumb questions before, you poor guys will have a lot more coming.
Can't wait to look for some local shows and cruises when I finally pick her up.

The link you've given doesn't work....but I'm sure the car is nice. Its tougher to find the right C1 than folks think; especially if you are limiting the choice to a specific year. I took a good 18 months to get mine...

When you get the steering box rebuilt make sure they put a good chassis grease in it and not that thin steering box oil; it WILL leak out. There is a service bulletin on this from GM and I have a copy.

Audio, everyone knew you were serious and you went about it the right way, not just jumping into the first car that looked good. You got what you wanted and should be happy, I think the smaller wheel is a good idea. Good Luck

I have been trying to figure out how to post from either my phone or email. Obviously I can't just cut and paste or drag.
Anyone know how or can I email the pics to someone to post?

There's a sticky at the top of the page on how to post pics. Hope this helps.

Maybe a 7-8.
Looks perfect until you look close.
The interior looks great since the seat covers and carpet are new.
I need to buy some mats.
I'll post more when I figure out how to post more than the one pic.
Just the one pic showed, correct?

You can put as many pictures in a single post as you wish. But, to make them show up you have to use the IMG tag. To see how this works, quote the post I just put up with your car in it, and look for the IMG and /IMG tags. These tags are going to be available on Tinypic for you to copy.

Looks pretty nice....count on 3-6 months of 'wringing it out'. This is the point in ownership where the weakest link breaks and you repair it; then the next weakest and so on during your initial driving. Then you reach a plateau where its normal maintenance and you can REALLY enjoy the car.

Get a fire extinguisher and fuse the main wiring...
