Whenever I post a link, I go back and check to see if it works! And what is a key hole bracket?

Don't mean to hijack but.... Is it true that you need to remove the keyhole bracket in order to replace the spring retainer? My retainers rusted away but the keyhole is fine. Hated the idea of drilling out the rivets just to replace something I probably don't even need....

Default Removing Hardtop keyhole bracket

Gentlemen:

Sorry about the bad link. I have been able to wiggle off the spring by removing two of the rivets off of the keyhole bracket. I want to install the spring that is correct--hence my question. It seems like the spring on the driver's side should be different. I will hammer the rivets/fasteners back on once I know what to tell my Snap On dealer that I need with a rivet gun or similar. Does that help?
