Default Wiper Pivot Shaft-Lubrication?

I have the instrument cluster, pedal assembly and heater box out for restoration. The wiper arm shaft assemblies are very accessible.
Is there a recommended method to lubricate these shaft assemblies while accessible, my car is '66 and has the rubber "hose" on top of shaft under wiper arms.
thanks Roger

I know of no way to lubricate them without disassembling them after going through removal of the peened-on splined cap; they're "lubed for life".

John- thanks for reply
In my case they are probably lubed until I reassemble the dash-LOL

I use CRC Power Lube for things like that. It's a low pressure foam when it exits the tip, and seems to wick upward against gravity often. You may wan to try it. Maybe even skirt some under the top ferrules and may soak down. Just some rags around it to keep the mess down.

By the looks of that one in your photo I think rainwater has been lubricating it for a while. You may wan to remove your cowl grilles and do a water test and reseal the mounts.

When I had the units out of my car I drilled a small hole through the housing, forced lube into the units and then used silicone to plug the holes I had drilled. The holes I drilled would have been covered by the "hose" you describe.

Birdcage, I took your advice. Using a flexible shaft Foredom tool which allowed me to get into tight quarters I drilled a 1/8 hole at top of wiper shaft housing under dash. I was able to do this as the dash is disassembled and these housing are accessible now.
The small hand held chuck gives you more sensitive feel. As bit broke thru die cast housing you can feel it hit the wiper shaft. Now you know there are shaft bushings (either plastic or metal) at both ends of housing.
I next loaded up hole with CRC Lithium grease, could actually see signs of lubricant weeping out bottom.
Should be good for another few decades
Thanks
Roger

I drilled mine on the outside of the cabin, about half way between the top and bottom. No matter, you got em lubed.
