I plan to be there, as I have every year since 1980, except 1998.

I have the whole week off! Heck yeah I'm going. Gonna fill up my buggy with krap, get a sunburn, discover too late that the port-o-can I chose has no TP, buy tacky batchelor pad stuff.....
Pate rules.
I'm going to the Pomona Swap Meet this Sunday while I'm out visiting my Mom.

LOL....The only thing that will stop me is my daughter's volleyball games. I just hope they are one right after the other and then I can boogie.

Just found out my Edelbrock 1406 needs to be rebuilt. Wonder if I could score something good that weekend?

...I have 8 spaces rented, Zone 1-1A, Avenue 3 & 4, spaces 442 thru 449.

Planned on having a bunch of stuff there, but may wind up just carrying the Motorhome and a barbecue grill....if I get to go.

I've had a respiratory infection for a month, and just got back from of a 3 day hospital visit...so I'm not sure yet, I'm still pretty puny.

Feel free to stop in and get acquainted....(provided you see anyone occupying the spaces)

...Stan

I haven't been since they moved it. I miss the old Pate, we'd get there on Thursday, if you waited until Sat all the good stuff was gone. I think I went once when it didn't rain 6 inches.

...I missed the one where it "didn't" rain 6 inches..heh heh! Made all the others..

Most of the action is Thursday and Friday...I leave Saturday Nite..

Sunday has lotsa picked thru crap...but some stuff is cheap, sometimes just abandoned..

...but once in a while you "can" find a real bargain on Sunday afternoon if you are persistant and stay till the last second.

Early weather forecasts say 50% rain for Thursday into Friday, as expected, happens every year.

Default Never sold at a show before. Is it a pain?

This Pate show in Dallas sounds like it would be an ideal for sailing all my Corvette parts. However, I have never done anything like that before. Not sure where too start. I would need lots of space as I have truck loads of parts.
Where do I find out about renting space theorem and what ever requirements there are?
Any dos or don'ts? Especially for a beginner?

Hello Bill..

As you may know this is a very old thread...but I'll help you out .

It's too late to preregister spaces for the 2012 Pate Meet....but here's the link for all the other information you will need.

http://www.pateswapmeet.com/

The Swap Meet is from April 26-29.

Late Vendors can register still at the gate starting Wednesday April 25 beginning at 8:00 AM. Get there early...the line gets long quickly.

In addition...I have found that the stuff that works best is heavy items that shipping is a deterent for E-bay sales. Other than that you can work yourself to death loading displaying small items and wind up carrying them all back home...or selling them for less than they are worth.

The exception to this is if you have done advertising on Craigslist or other ..to alert prospect buyers in the area that you will be there and what spaces you will occupy.

I will take the opportunity here to mention what I'll have there...

I have 10 spaces Zone 1-1A, Ave 3, Block 30. Spaces 442-451. Cell Phone 817-946-0406

I will have a beat up front clip including fender wells for a 1961 Corvette.. a rolling frame (no title..just a parts frame) and various baskets of odd and end stuff too varied to list.

Stop by and get acquainted if you(everyone) make it to the meet..I've always got free cold water , which they sell out there for a premium. ...and sodas till they run out for my friends and Corvette lovers.

Best regards..Stan
