How to lower rear suspension
I figured out that you can just cut the front coils, although it would be nice to find some coils that are 2 inches shorter and ride with a bit more modern geometry. Does anyone know how to lower the rear body about 2 inches?

assuming you have a C-2 and not a straight axle your answer is longer bolts in the rear, you can also start by cutting 1/2 coil in the front. either way RG above is correct asking a question without giving any info won`t get many responses....

Check with Posie Springs.....they make rear springs for street rods and may have one for your Vette. If not any spring manufacture (Detroit Spring ) can make any height or spring rate for your front or rear suspension. One problem with cutting springs is that you will usually end up with a higher spring rate and therefore a harder ride.

I have a similar question on my 64. My Spring is riding dead flat and I don't know if it's tired or just "long bolts" to make it that way. This was a racer so it's possible it was lowered. Doesn't too low affect driveline geometry?

Dropping the rear of a C1 about 2": Re-arched or different springs would be my first choice, lowering blocks my 2nd. You could flip & switch sides the leaf spring's front hangers to acheive about 1" lower height, but you'll need longer spring shackles in the rear as well in order to maintain proper suspension geometry or it can effect your handling, especially in corners (Mashinter eludes to this in the thread referenced above). Groovyjay runs Vette Brakes & Products new C1 composite rear leaf springs that drops the rear about 2", maybe he'll weigh in.
