Billet serpentine system 67
Anyone run the billet serpentine system with power steering remote reservoir? I am interested in this system for my 67 small block project but not sure about the remote reservoir setup, where to mount? Also does this system clear the front cross member? Thanks, Tom

I've got a 64 with a ZZ4 crate motor. It has a serp system like your asking about with a remote reservoir.
Here are a few pics that you can get a feel for how it's set up.
The reservoir is the cylinder on the driver's side next to the red towel in the bottom pic.

Not a serpentine system, but the photo below shows the remote reservoir I used on my Grand Sport on the far side; tubular aluminum, horizontal mount, with AN inlet and outlet fittings - got it from Speedway Motors (13 years ago).

Tom: It all varies with which Vintage Engine block, Heads, Headers, PS Pump you are using, and whether you want a more up-dated engine, heads etc.... Take a careful look at whats out there to "match" which Engine accessories you will be using. Costs also will vary far & wide depending on what you use & styles you wish for. I have done a Serp conversion for a '64 with "old school engine accessories" as I'm sure others have also.

I've seen that Vintage Air set up before and I thought it looked pretty good. Everything was "tucked in" and made the engine compartment look better. I think the alt.is a smaller version too.
Seemed like the engine presented better too.

Billet Specialties Serpentine Belt System
I have a 572 ci engine in my 67 with the Billet Specialties setup with Air, Gen and P.S. The exterior P.S. resevoir is attached to my passenger side fender. Looks great and works great. I'm using DeWitts radiator with Dual Fans, so don't know if original fan would have any impact.

I got rid of the Dewitt non functional fan system and installed a solid spacer to mount the fan. I spent a lot of time and money to eliminate a over heating problem that turned out to be a bad fan system. I did not want to depend upon a clutch fan that may cause me a problem later on. Car runs cools in the heat of the desert summer when temps hit 110 + many days.

Yours really looks good.
Do you get a good bit of wind noise [roar]when you wind it out. I have a 5-Speed, and have really no noise at speed on the highway or anywhere unless I wind it out in the lower gears.

No idea. It's all drown out by the woosh of the air entering the carb.
