Default Anybody bought a 3X2 fuel line that fits?

I have a new pump that is identical to the original AC pump that I took off the old engine. The reproduction line isn't even close to fitting. In fact, it would go right through the water pump. The pictures of the lines from the various vendors all look alike so I have to believe I'm missing something but I can't see how this is supposed to fit.

By the way, I am using a '68 manifold, not that it would make a difference in the way the line runs but I bought a '68 line too to try and it doesn't fit either.

What am I missing?

TIA, Steve

I'd just bend it and make it fit. I had to tweak mine a bit. I'm also using a '68 manifold. I did mine a little differently at the fuel pump to get a little more clearance at the radiator hose.

nassau66427,

I guess that's what I'll have to do --- or build my own --- but this is more than a little "tweaking". For the price they charge, you would think it would be close. I mean, the one for the '67 is so far off, I don't think I can use the line from the pump up to the block that feeds the first carb at all. I have the water pump on the car now and the line LITERALLY wants to go through the CENTER of the water pump, like it's for another car! The vendor says thay sold over 100 lines in the last 12 months and no one has had a problem.

This is just too weird but then, that's the way this car has been.

I appreciate your thoughts though. Thanks for the reply,

Steve

The customer purchased them from us. We do not make that particular line in stainless so we do purchase it from and outside vendor who also happens to make lines. This has been resolved.
Thanks
Justin

good, issue fixed.
Also this thread is referenced from a website spewing untruths about Zip. If you would like to know the OP's opinion of Zip Products, please IM him, I am sure he would love to tell you.
Thanks

Does anyone sell this line separately? Is the line from the pump to the first carb fitting the same on 67 as 68-69? Thanks.

I don't think anyone has it by itself. The line on a 67 is different than a 68/69. The 67 tripower had a high rise intake on it.
