a LOT of the factory drag cars of the early to mid 60 had aluminum frontends and other body parts and all of them had decals that said not to lean on them...

I'm guessing racing gage aluminum panels would be significantly lighter than the stock fiberglass.

Comp Cobras used the same aluminum as the street cars. Thickness can vary by the amount a particular panel was rolled, thinning it in certain places. Yes, Acura NSX. Came out in 1991. Mine is a 1995. Hand built cars. It’s my personal favorite to drive.

The original NSX! One of my favorites. In the early iteration of this thread a poster mentioned the “Scaglietti Corvettes”. I was not aware they existed. Beautiful cars. So here is my aluminum bodied Ferrari Scaglietti.
