Default Brake light stays on, suggestions?

My brake peddle on my '65 roadster (4 speed) hangs and consequently the brake light stays on. It appears to not push the light switch hard enough to fully engage. Is there an easy way to modify the brake pedal spring with out removing it? At my age it was difficult just to lay on my back and reach up.
Thanks, Bob

Bob, the bracket that holds the switch may need to be straightened, if so you can bend the bracket in line with the brake pedal so the plunger on the switch is in line with the pedal. By the way, if you need the switch it's available from NAPA and it's very reasonable.

Speedracer, thanks for taking the time to offer a tip. I'll give it a try.

BTW, Speedracer65, took an assignment in Rockville back in the 80's for about 8 months. Great state, good seafood. Quite a bit different from Texas.
