Default Front cross over brake line

My 65 vette with air, power steering, power brakes needs the front steel cross over brake line replaced. Can this brake line be tricked into position without major disassembly.
Thanks, Lowell

It should not be a big job. Just run it through the clips. If the line is bad anyway cut it off at the fitting by the junction block and use a socket to get it out. They are prebent so it is not a big deal.

I did mine about two years ago (66 small block). I pulled the fan/fan clutch, radiator and shroud. Makes the job very easy. Took about two hours total for the R&R. I know it sounds like a big job, but its surprisingly straight-forward once you commit to it.

It's much easier to replace if you remove the two bumper brackets that go from the cradle to the front bumpers. That way you can install the crossover from the bottom without removing anything in the engine bay.

Good Luck!

Take a close look. But I think if you go from below, you will have to bend the tube more to make it fit, than if you go from above. If you're comfortable with that (I was not), either would work. I think you'll need to pull the lower end of the lower radiator hose in either case.
