I remember hearing that song when I had and was driving my 66 Vert. Cool song. I am sure that there are cars out there like that.

Pretty good song, in my opinion, and it charted pretty well too, as best as I recall. It's been around for some time, was released to radio stations in August of 2001 or thereabouts.

It got quite a bit of airplay a few years ago on the country stations, and was always popular with the mid-year Corvette folks like myself.

Just some trivia. I went to school with Bobby Troops daughters. We attended North Hollywood High School. You'll remember this song as it had the following theme. You'll get your kicks on Route 66. He latter married Julie London.

Yep, I remember Julie London, as well as Bobby Troup. She was one of my old flames, although she never knew . . . . a little older than me, first of all. Second, I never met her . . . still . . . .

"I Cried a River", Julie London . . .

Also, for those of you who are "old school" (or just old, like me!) country music fans, check out the "Corvette Song" by George Jones!

Somehow I can't imagine tossing the keys to the guy pumping your gas and telling him "Here - take 'er for a spin!" (especially if my brunette was still in the Vette at the time!)

That's good!! I just preferred the ones that were "hotter than a two-dollar pistol, . . . . the fastest thing around . . . She was built and fun to handle, son . . ."

...............the whole damn song is full of double meanings and just great! I've got it on a CD that I burned that has nothing but Corvette songs - form this to "Deadmans Curve" to "Little Red Corvette". I play it at our club parties - people know almost all of them by heart!
