Default Corvette Owners Card

A guy contacted me today and sent me this card. His uncle owned a '65 and he found this in his old papers. He asked me the source of the card - who may have issued it. Anybody have a clue?

Default General Motors Corvette ID card

the card came with the owners pin available to all original owners. Im not sure when or what year they deleated the program. I know I was receiving the magazine "Corvette News" for years that went to my parents address.

Below is my Dads card and the Vette logo from his 63 coupe....

Thanks for sharing this with us. Hope you find the 2 cars they belong to. It is nice to see that people back then were smart enough to keep this kind of stuff instead of pitching it like so many did. Oh by the way I love the high water pants the guy has on, but that was the look back then.

Would you be so kind as to look at the back of each pin and tell me "exactly" what is marked on them. Plesase get everything that is marked on them. I have been surveying Corvette Owner's Pins for a while now. Thanks.

Default Owners pin

Ed, I just picked one up and was wondering if anyone has done any extensive research on them .
The one I just got has inscribed on the bottom, M1/5 on top then 10KDP under it and the brass clasp has BALLOU in a semi circle and under that is REG'D
Have you noted any differnces between years? I'm not sure what year this one came from. Jim

Don't you just love the 60's fashion! I think dressing right should get you extra judging points

in the back of the owners manual there is a card you would have filled out and sent back to GM. they would send you the card a pin and you would get news letter

Nope - that one was stolen in the Cleveland area back in 1970.

John,
Any idea when/why they started putting the key code on the owners card? Your 65, #6229, doesn't have it but 65 #14596 above and mine #14790 both have it. Thanks.

If you went to your local Chevrolet Dealer and bought a 63 or any Corvette off the lot, how would GM get your name and the card and pin and patch be with the car? OOPS, I didn't see the post about filling out the cars and mailing it into GM and them sending you your stuff. Guess the answer was here all the time if I would read all the post.
