He has just revised the auction to indicate that they are Western Wheel Reproductions.

They also are not correct for either a 63 or 64. K/O wheel for those years (if any were actually produced for 63) were not painted between the vanes. If memory, serves me correctly, these are for a 65. I think 66's did not have as bright a finish but I could be wrong.

The mythical '63 and real '64 KOs configuration was an unpainted wheel with chrome plated trim cones. For '65 the wheels were painted a medium/dark gray to hid the brake dust and the trim cones were chrome plated.
For '66 the wheel was the same as '65, but the trim cones featured a brushed rather than bright finish.

you have me to thank for the ending of this auction. I sent a few emails asking some hard questions and the seller continued to tell me that these were original 63's. I told him that 63's did not have painted ribs or brushed cones. He eventually decided to pull one wheel and check the numbers. He emailed me with these numbers thinking that the KH western wheel markings confirmed their originality. I had to break the bad news to him that these were not original. ten minutes later he ended the auction. Like i told him - he did the right thing.
