Default inside head lights not working on '65

I recently replaced the fuse box on my 65 coupe. Everything on the car works great but the inside head lights. I have checked the bright/dimmer switch and it is ok. Examined all wires and plugs in the head light bucket and found no damage. There is only two wires to the back of the bulb and one is a ground. What am I missing?

sounds like the bulb is burnt or the fuse is burnt...

I believe he means the high beam headlights aren't working. Time to break out the voltmeter or test light. Check if you're getting voltage out of the dimmer switch on the floor when you switch it to high beams. If so, check to see if you're getting voltage at the connectors on the headlights. If not, there's an open somewhere, possibly in the firewall connector. If there is voltage, check the other wire connected to the headlight to see if it is grounded.

You might want to check the high-beam switch on the floorboard, had that problem on my 65 years ago, simple cheap fix then

Follow the black/light green wire forward for power, starting at the dimmer switch terminal (black/light green is the high-beam feed, tan is the low-beam feed).

Thanks for the replies- I will trace the power as suggested. If I find out it is the connnector at the firewall, is there a way to disassemble and repair or is a new headlight harness the only answer?

I had the same problem, easy to get dust and dirt into the switch.

Yep, start with this easy (and cheap) fix first. A replacement floor switch fixed my high beam problem too.
