I lost the cap and the locking pin from one of my repro KO's on my 66 Corvette. Have ordered a replacement cap but can't find where I can get the KO locking pin (not sure if that's the correct name for the part). It's the 1 inch pin that locks in the KO and keeps it from pinning off. Can anyone tell me where I can get one????

I think it's just a small diameter aluminum rod. Try a hardware store, cut down to proper length.

If you have a local hardware store like an Ace hardware with small parts bins you can buy a steel roll pin that fits.

Corvette Central sells them. Part #642319 for a set of four wheel spinner lock pins for $8.95.

Roll pins are what I use for a little extra security. I had to slightly taper one end on a grinder so they would fit reasonbly easy.

I use allen head screw in mine.

When you put them in add a little grease to them first....... that way they will not tend to fall out

I had bought a set of the aluminum repro pins and was unable to fit the pins in the openings, even after I tapered the ends. So I just whacked the spinner with the ***** Thumper and got it to move a few more degrees. That makes me feel more confident than any roll pin ! (and hey, I know that they are just to discourage theft).

Two cars with KO's. Never used the pins. Probably won't, either. Maybe in my next life.

Wow. I spend about that much for about 25 feet of aluminum rod from a welding supply store about 10 years ago. Still have a bunch left.

Wow ! If you split 25ft by four I don't see how your car would ever fit in your garage.
