Early 63 Alternator Info Wanted
I have an early 63 (101,054) and have been look for a dated alternator.
Well one just surfaced on fleabay (don't know if I can link to it).
If any experts could look at the numbers and state their opinions. The 'H22' is obviously double stamped and the part number is skewed
My guess would be that the punches for the part number would have been ganged together.
Also is 'H22' too early for my car?

How about a link or eBay number?
"H22" isn't a valid date code. You need a 1100628 alternator with the number and date code stamped on the rear surface of the housing (not on the top), and the date code is in the YMDD format (year, month, day) like 3K18 for October 18, 1963. Your car was built on or about October 5, 1962, so you need one dated before that.

I did know I needed a 1100628, with a date earlier than the car but I did not know how much earlier.
I did not spot the date code was the wrong format the pictures show it as 'H22' (and double stamped).
