Default I've Got A Little Squeak Squeak in Wheel

It doesn't happen all the time but it sounds like a little bird is chirping in my rear passenger side wheel. My neighbor the mechanic thinks it may be the U-joint. Braking doesn't seen to affect it-just when the car is rolling and only noticable at low speeds. Any ideas??

If its not the brakes I'd check wheel bearings for proper torque and grease. I don't understand how a u joint is on the passenger side?

What year of a car are you asking about? A 56?

Contrary to his forum name, he lists a 67 in his profile.

Good bet it is wheel bearings, but u-joint is next possible cause. Either way, you have work due.

Before getting too carried away, you might take the trim rings off one at a time to see if that makes the squeak go away. My daughter's LT-1 had a squeak from the left rear that was the trim ring.

The brake pad can chirp if the rotor is a little out.

Every time I've discovered a bad U joint it was by the squeek it made when starting from a dead stop.

I had a '77 once that went squeak, squeak. That was a half shaft joint. No sooner than I fixed that it went squeak, crunch, squeak, crunch. That was a wheel bearing on the same wheel.
