Very funny where some of these threads can go. And just to keep on topic I'm very happy with Hagerty for my 3 classics.

Default How about Auto Owners??

They are one of the worst insurance companies out there when it comes to paying claims reasonably and fairly, in my opinion.

I pay $275/year for a 50/100, agreed value policy through American National. They just add it as a second car, with only 2 requirements: no more than 5K miles/year, and keep it in a locked garage.

I've made three claims through them for various things, all of which were my fault, and I've never had an issue with them.
How's Auto Owners to deal with? I have my 67, agreed value $60,000 for $291.21 a year. I just got the renewal day before yesterday. No milage limits. My wifes 03 Anniversary is $40,000 agreed value for $616.61. We have everything through Auto Owners so we get a multi-car discount.

I don't think it would be OT (based on this thread) if I asked how much panty insurance costs on a pair of 1964 Dream Puff panties? http://bp0.blogger.com/_MNWIJkuGY40/...600-h/Ad25.jpg

Default Auto Owners?

I have seven cars insured with them, a couple are classics with stated value coverage.

So far they've been great, although all I ever ask them to do is accept my premium $$$ every year. Like all companies, they are happy to do that.

The "rubber meets the road" at time of claim. That is when you find out how much your agent will go to bat for you, and whether "stated value" will be honored by the carrier.

May that day ever come!

wow, that's high for Hagerty. You must be young, or have some "issues" on your MVR, or live in a high theft area . . . . ?
