How about Auto Owners??
As an attorney, I sue SafeCo all the time. When I get a case that involves the, I don't even bother sending a settlement request letter, I just file suit, because that is the only way they are going to pay.
They are one of the worst insurance companies out there when it comes to paying claims reasonably and fairly, in my opinion.
I pay $275/year for a 50/100, agreed value policy through American National. They just add it as a second car, with only 2 requirements: no more than 5K miles/year, and keep it in a locked garage.
I've made three claims through them for various things, all of which were my fault, and I've never had an issue with them.

I don't think it would be OT (based on this thread) if I asked how much panty insurance costs on a pair of 1964 Dream Puff panties? http://bp0.blogger.com/_MNWIJkuGY40/...600-h/Ad25.jpg

Auto Owners?
So far they've been great, although all I ever ask them to do is accept my premium $$$ every year. Like all companies, they are happy to do that.
The "rubber meets the road" at time of claim. That is when you find out how much your agent will go to bat for you, and whether "stated value" will be honored by the carrier.
May that day ever come!

Im gong shopping for new insurance. Hagarty gets me for 839 a year on the 64 roadster (55k agreed value) and about the same on the 66 coupe with a 60k value.

wow, that's high for Hagerty. You must be young, or have some "issues" on your MVR, or live in a high theft area . . . . ?
